S-034 - 11.5 oz - beige selvage denim
tan-beige selvage denim with white-red selvage edge
1 × 50 cm = 50 cm Gesamtlänge
This 11.5 oz selvage denim from Japan is manufactured by Kuroki in Okayama and features an ochre beige hue with a very slight greenish tint. The soft texture and small, irregular inclusions in the weave give the fabric a vibrant, authentic nubby look.
When new, the denim feels pleasantly soft to the touch, with a smooth, even surface that gains special depth and character from the irregular fiber inclusions. With wear, the material develops a supple feel, while the distinctive nubby texture is retained.
The natural coloring makes the fabric particularly versatile – ideal for jeans, jackets, overshirts or accessories where earthiness, texture and character are paramount.
Weighing 11.5 oz, this denim can easily be sewn with a standard household sewing machine. A size 90 jeans needle is recommended; for multi-layered flat-felled seams, the sewing speed should be reduced to achieve precise stitches.
The last photo shows, as an example, the natural development of the fabric over a longer period of wear – the warm, slightly greenish ochre color and the characteristic nubs develop a lively, individual patina.

Please do not wash the denim before processing. As an unwashed "raw selvage" fabric, it only develops its characteristic structure and fit through wear.
Wash the finished garment only after it is completely sewn. The respective shrinkage values for length and width should therefore be taken into account during pattern construction and size planning.
